ESTHER, 09/02/2012 11:39Perhaps it is not really possible to write about Penn Jillette's God, no! without being unladylike. In fact, Jillette uses words like f**k and c**k so extensively that I am bound to mention it right now. He also tries to piss everyone and their mother off and he's successful in his mission. It's a good, thought-provoking book, but consider yourself warned. If you are looking for magic, you will not find that in this book. Oh, there are interesting stories about David Blaine, Sigfried and Roy, Lance Burton, Penn & Teller and other big names in the magic business. But when the title says "and other magical tales", the emphasis is rather on "other" than "magical".
...well, if you really want to know, then better get the reading started. Still, in spite of everything, it'll be a fun ride. As the ex-girlfriend in question put it: "things like this don't happen to normal people"...
